HOPE VALLEY HIGH SUMMARY
Synopsis:
Daisy (main character) finds herself at a new school without any friends. Skylar and her pals appear to be friendly, but when Daisy is humiliated in front of the whole school by the popular kids, she quickly learns that Skylar can’t be trusted. Everyone at Hope Valley High turns a blind eye to the bullying, keeping their heads down and staying out of Skylar’s way to avoid repercussions. With the encouragement and spiritual guidance from Daisy’s family and a new-found Christian friend, Daisy finds the strength to show love to her enemies, find her identity in God and to face her fears to join ‘The Secret Singer,’ a popular singing competition with a large prize. Shortly after, we discover that the Hope Valley Basketball team is $50,000 short of entering the competition and must pull out of the season. While everyone is feeling down about the basketball team, the Secret Singer decides to visit Hope Valley High where Daisy wins the competition. The school is in shock to discover that the girl they bullied won the competition. Daisy decides to show forgiveness and donates the money to the basketball team so they can compete. Skylar apologises to Daisy for picking on her and reconcile their relationship and endeavour to create a new culture at Hope Valley High.
